Individual Play

     Stroke Play

The competitor who plays the stipulated round in the fewest strokes is the winner (Rules of Golf, 3-1). Gross and net (after handicap allowances¹) prizes are awarded.

     Blind Nine

The competitor who plays the stipulated round with the fewest strokes on nine blindly selected holes is the winner (Rules of Golf, 3-1). Gross and net (after handicap allowances¹) prizes are awarded.

     Match Play vs. Par

In Match Play vs. Par, the game is played by holes -- competition is against a fixed sore at each hole (par). The reckoning is made as in match play by which a competitor plays his match (which consists of a stipulated round) and determines if he has won a hole if he holes his ball in fewer strokes than par. Any hole for which a competitor returns no score shall be regarded as a loss. The winner is the competitor who is most successful in the aggregate of holes (Rules of Golf, 32-1). Gross and net (after handicap allowances¹) prizes are awarded.

     Number of Putts

The competitor who plays the stipulated round with the fewest number of putts is the winner (Rules of Golf, 3-1). Note: Each competitor must hole out - no "gimme's".

     Front Nine

The competitor who plays the stipulated round with the fewest strokes on the front 9 holes is the winner (Rules of Golf, 3-1). Gross and net (after handicap allowances¹) prizes are awarded.

     Back Nine

The competitor who plays the stipulated round with the fewest strokes on the back 9 holes is the winner (Rules of Golf, 3-1). Gross and net (after handicap allowances¹) prizes are awarded.

     Stableford - Point Event

The object of the tournament is to accumulate the most points at the end of the round. Up to five points can be earned per hole, bogie counts for one point, birdie - two points, par - three points, eagle - four points, double eagle - five points. Gross and net prizes are awarded.

     Stableford -Modified

The object of the tournament is to accumulate the most points at the end of the round. 8 points for double eagle, 5 points for eagle, 2 points for birdie, zero for par, minus-1 for bogey and minus-3 for double bogey or worse. Gross and net prizes are awarded.

 

Team Play

     Best Ball of Two Stroke Play

This competition is comprised of teams of 2 members playing their stipulated round together. Teams score their better score gross and net on each hole. Gross and net (after handicap allowances) prizes are awarded.

     Two Man Combined

(a.k.a., Total Score of Partners Stroke Play) This competition is comprised of teams of 2 members playing their stipulated round together. Each team member plays his own ball, and the combined total of their scores for the round is the team's score. Gross and net (after handicap allowances) prizes are awarded.

     Best Ball of Four Stroke Play

This competition is comprised of a team of 4 members (a team of three or two members is also permitted) playing their stipulated round together in the same foursome. Teams score their best ball on each hole. Gross and net (after handicap allowances) prizes are awarded.

     Two Best Balls of Four

This competition is comprised of a team of 4 members (a team of three or two members is also permitted) playing their stipulated round together in the same foursome. Teams score their two best balls on each hole. Gross and net (after handicap allowances) prizes are awarded.
