Stamford Amauter Golf Tournament
This is NOT a Men's Club Event
While we fully support our members competing in this event, this is not a Sterling Farms Men's Club event. Please contact the Sterling Farms Pro-Shop for more information.
This tournament traditionally has consisted of a qualifying weekend of 36 holes. One weekend day 18 holes are played at Sterling Farms Golf Course and the other weekend day 18 holes are played at E. Gaynor Brennan Golf Course (in no specific order). After the qualifying weekend 36 holes, a final 18 hole round is played by those who qualify the following weekend.
Grillo versus Grillo Tournament
This is NOT a Men's Club Event
While we fully support our members competing in this event, this is not a Sterling Farms Men's Club event. This tournament was started by Paul Grillo (Executive Director of the Sterling Farms Golf Course) and his brother Vincent Grillo Jr. (Executive Director of the Oak Hills Park Golf Course, Norwalk, CT) in 2008.
Paul Grillo hand picks the team that represents Sterling Farms. Most of the Sterling Farms team members come from the Sterling Farms Men's Club. This is due to our members familiarity with both courses as well as their significant tournament experience (earned through our clubs opportunities).
This is a one weekend 36 hole tournament. One weekend day 18 holes are played at Sterling Farms Golf Course and the other weekend day 18 holes are played at Oak Hills Park Golf Course (in no specific order).
In 2009, this event is planned for the first weekend in November. Saturday's round will be at Oaks Hills and Sunday's round will be at Sterling Farms. There will be approximately 28 golfers (14 from each course).
