Shoreline Tournament

The  Shoreline is an annual event played between six public golf courses located along the shores of Connecticut.  Each year a different club hosts the event.  The competition consists of an 18 hole Net round.  Each club is represented by 19 players.  15 Net qualifying spots are open to our members.  This event is played in the fall.

The teams consist of 19 members and include:

*In 2009 the President’s pick will be utilized to ensure the low gross qualifier makes the team!

 

Prizes

The winning team receives individual trophies for each team member.  In addition, the large Shoreline trophy will be engraved with the winning club’s name and go to the Club until the next Interclub tournament. 

Sterling Farms hosted and won the Shoreline in 2008. The trophy is on display at the Player’s Club.

 

Sign Ups

The cost to sign up for the qualifying round is $20.  The 19 team members will pay an additional $20 to help cover the costs of the event.

The team receives a free golf shirt which we traditionally wear during Sunday’s round. The team also receives free greens fees and cart during the Shoreline.

 

Event Details

The Shoreline winner is determined by the total combined Net score.
Only 16 scores count towards the total.
The worst Net score in each of the following groups is discarded:

  1. President, Tournament Chairman, Club Champion
  2. 10 and under Course Handicaps
  3. 11 and over Course Handicaps
